If you need your voucher urgently, then just let me know and I can email a version for you to print yourself.

Little Baby Jacob!

What better way to start this year by photographing a scrummy little baby!

I had the opportunity of photographing 8 week old Jacob the other week.  His Mummy had seen the previous photos I had taken of my own two boys (with the tree lights), so we decided to also use them as a prop for a few of Jacobs photos.

Babies can be quite temperamental when it comes to photographing them as they either want to be fed, cuddled or just be left to go to sleep. Jacob was no exception and like all baby shoots, you have to just keep it relaxed and go with what they want to do! We found he was wanting to take regular ‘snack breaks’, but in-between, we were able to catch him crack a little smile or two and was definitely well worth the wait.

Now he has flown to China, with his parents, to live for his first year… what an amazing adventure he will have!

Happy 2012, bring on the New Year!!!

At the start of a New Year I always try take the time to write down some goals I would like to accomplish during the next 12 months. Helen Rose Lifestyle Photography is a HUGE part of my life and it hasn’t escaped a list of goals of its own that will hopefully be achieved this year. I have lots of exciting plans ahead that you all can now share the journey with!

I am a mother of 2 wonderful boys who inspire me every day, so felt it very appropriate that I start my blogging year by posting a few photographs of them as we were putting the Christmas decorations away. They are so cheeky and loved every moment of getting to play with the tree lights (that they haven’t been able to touch all month long)!!

This is what I love when photographing children and families at home – relaxed, informal, natural and cheeky photographs! I love capturing the every day things. This makes the image much more personal to the family and creates more exact memories to look back on in years to come with such fondness.

Before we know it we will be welcoming in another new year, so I just want to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY 2012 and hope that it will be a fabulous year to remember!

Keep smiling and get snap happy!

Love Helen x
